2/3 cup reduced-sugar ketchup (I use Trader Joes. It has 1/2 the sugar as the leading brands.)
¼ cup orange juice
2 T chopped fresh cilantro
1 clove garlic, mined
¼ t ground cumin
¼ t black pepper
1 large turkey breast tenderloin (about 1 pound)
In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. I added a splash of bourbon to mine at this point. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Reserve 1/3 cup of the sauce in a bowl for brushing the tenderloins. Keep the rest warm to pour over the turkey when serving.
For a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Place poultry pieces on grill rack over heat. Cover and cook 12-16 minutes. Serve with sauce and additional chopped cilantro if desired.
(I doubled the sauce recipe and used 4 tenderloins.)
